Funds for the implementation of the project have been provided as part of the call “Support of the European Union for Local Employment Partnerships – Phase II” (LEP II) which is financed by the European Union and implemented by the International Labour Organization in Bosnia and Herzegovina (ILO).

OBJECTIVES
The overall goal of the “COOPERATION FOR BETTER COMPETITIVENESS – SBK” project is to integrate lifelong learning and entrepreneurial education policies with the goals of social, economic, and regional development, as well as employment policies and employer needs in the SBK/KSB region.
The specific objective is to reduce the number of unemployed, hard-to-employ categories through the expansion and improvement of the local support system and activation in the labor market, with a special emphasis on the role of the Local Employment Partnership of the Srednjobosanski Canton/Central Bosnia Canton.
ACTIVITIES
The ultimate beneficiaries of the “COOPERATION FOR BETTER COMPETITIVENESS – SBK” project are unemployed individuals registered with the Employment Service, with equal representation of both genders, unemployed and inactive youth, and long-term unemployed women. The ultimate beneficiaries will be motivated to actively participate through motivational and entrepreneurial education, technical assistance, training and retraining, and financial support for starting a business through a start-up fund, as well as employment with well-known employers.
EXPECTED RESULTS
1.1. Formalization of the LEP at the cantonal level using best practices and lessons learned from the pilot phase of the LEP Travnik with the technical support of MOR; 1.2. Prepared and adopted gender-sensitive Human Potential Development Strategy 2022-2026 at the cantonal level
2.1. Certified and accredited 2 new modules of professional training; 2.2. Implemented at least two certified training programs for at least 60 unemployed people; 2.3. At least 35 unemployed people have been employed in local companies after certified training and/or self-employment.
3.1. Built capacities for entrepreneurial support in 3 local communities and strengthened the capacity of 1 incubator; 3.2. Implemented a business education program for at least 40 unemployed youth for the purpose of realizing business ideas; 3.3. Provided financial and mentoring support for the launch of 12 new businesses for unemployed people.
