Format A4, PDF, 0.7 MB
REZ Agency’s project “COMETS – Competitive market based Export and Trade service” aims to improve exports from BiH to the European Union (EU) and increase the money flow in the region itself. The specific objective is provision of support to more than 30 companies – the project beneficiaries, which will result in improved existing and/or new export activities. The group of users includes small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from the wood processing and metal processing sectors, which are identified as branches with the highest potentials in our region. The handbook is designed to provide an insight into the European Union market in the first part, and offers answers to the questions: What is the purpose of the EU? Why and how did the EU come about? How it works? Particularly interesting facts and figures are highlighted separately, providing a more complete picture of the European Union.
In the second part, special attention is paid to the relationship between our country and the EU. Previous activities have been presented, with special emphasis on the “Stabilization and Association Agreement”, which is a necessary step towards full membership in the European Union.
In the third part of the Manual, guidelines are given to the potential exporter on the steps that need to be taken to enter the EU market. The documentation and standards are determined by foreign trade regulations and practices in BiH, as well as EU standards and directives. Also, in the context of this topic, the CE product marking has also been included.
The handbook also contains basic information on international standards: ISO 9001: 2000, ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001: 1999.
