This publication was prepared through the Old Rail Trail project, which strengthens the competitiveness of tourism in the Central Bosnia Canton. The Old Rail Trail project is supported by EU and BMZ funds within the EU4Business project in BiH. The Old Rail Trail project is implemented by the Regional Development Agency for the Central BiH Region (REZ), the SBK / KSB Tourist Board and NESA sistemi d.o.o. Travnik.
The “Old Rail Trail” project will establish a bicycle trail along the old railway line, which will further improve the tourist offer for longer stays and will increase the number of visitors within outdoor tourism in the area of Travnik, Vitez, Donji Vakuf, Busovača and Jajce.
The final beneficiaries of the project are micro, small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs, including travel / tourism agencies, accommodation and catering companies, and sports clubs and citizens’ associations. The aim of the project is to improve the quality of tourist infrastructure and attract and retain as many tourists as possible, and thus increase revenue and create new jobs.
