The law regulating the renting of rooms in the Federation of BiH is the law on catering activity. Possibilities for opening a Bed & Breakfast services according to the law are the following:
Under the law, a catering activity may be:
- Prepare food and provide food services
- Preparation and serving of drinks and beverages
- Provision of accommodation services
Facilities, considering the type of services they provide, may be:
- Accommodation facilities, i.e. facilities where accommodation, food, drinks, beverages are provided
- Catering facilities, i.e. facilities for providing food, drinks, beverages and sweets
- Catering facilities, i.e. facilities for preparing meals, sweets, drinks and beverages to be consumed elsewhere with or without serving
Catering (services) can be performed by the following entities:
- Legal entities
- The Natural persons of
– Households
– Rural households
